Dr. Emily and the American Association of Orthodontists recommend an initial evaluation around age 7, but orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age. If no treatment is recommended, we will monitor growth and development periodically. We care for children, teens, and adults with fully customized treatment plans.

When should my child have their first appointment with an orthodontist?

Not at all. While an aligned smile is a wonderful benefit, orthodontic treatment also improves oral health, bite function, and long-term stability of your teeth.

Is orthodontic treatment only for cosmetic purposes?

We offer a range of modern solutions, including early treatment, adult orthodontics, clear aligners, and traditional or ceramic braces. Your treatment is tailored to your goals, lifestyle, and clinical needs.

What types of treatment do you offer?

Treatment time varies depending on your individual case, but most patients can expect anywhere from 6-36 months. During your consultation, we’ll provide a personalized timeline. Dr. Emily will recommend a plan that maximizes efficiency and reduces your time in treatment.

How long does treatment take?

Getting your braces or aligners is pain free! Our team strives to make the process easy and efficient for you. You may experience mild, temporary pressure as your teeth begin to move, but most patients adjust quickly.

Is getting braces or aligners uncomfortable?

Yes! It is not necessary to miss out on school, activities, or day to day life during orthodontic treatment. Our team will provide a school or work excuse as needed at your specified appointment time.

Can I go to school or activities after getting braces?

Appointments are typically scheduled every 6–10 weeks, depending on your treatment plan. We respect your time and strive to keep visits efficient and on schedule.

How often will I need appointments?

The cost of treatment varies based on your individual needs. We provide clear, upfront pricing and offer flexible payment options to make your investment manageable.

How much does orthodontic treatment cost?

We work with many insurance plans and will help you understand and maximize your benefits.

Do you accept insurance?

Once your treatment is finished, retainers are provided to maintain your results. We will guide you on how to keep your smile looking its best for years to come.

What happens after treatment is complete?

Yes, it is very important to continue care with your general dentist to ensure your teeth and gums remain healthy. Dental cleanings should be maintained on a regular schedule every 3-6 months

Do I still need regular dental checkups while in braces or aligners?

We encourage patients to avoid sticky/crunchy/hard foods to avoid excessive breakage and extended treatment time. We will review a do's and dont’s list at your initial appointment.

Are there foods I have to avoid while wearing braces?

Dr. Emily loves working with other dentists, but you do not need a referral to schedule an appointment. After establishing care with our office, we will regularly communicate with your dentist to ensure we are all working together.
